6x4 Photo Prints — 10x15cm from £0.08 Each

Two things worth knowing. 6x4 and 4x6 are the same print — the numbers just swap depending on whether it is landscape or portrait; ours is landscape by default and you can rotate it in the configurator. And the trade standard is 10x15 cm, a whisker over a true 6x4" (which is 10.16 x 15.24 cm). The difference is under half a millimetre and invisible in a frame.

For scale: a 6x4 print is roughly a quarter the area of a sheet of A4.

Almost, but not exactly — and this is the one thing worth checking before you order.

Most phones shoot in 4:3. A 6x4 print is 3:2. To fill the print edge to edge, we crop about 11% off the long edge of your photo. On a landscape holiday shot you will never notice. On a tight portrait where someone's head is near the top of the frame, you might.

Three Ways to Handle It

• Let it crop — fine for 90% of photos, and the configurator shows exactly what will be cut before you order
• Choose 10x13 cm instead — at a 1.3 ratio it is the closest of all our sizes to your phone's native shape and crops barely 2.5%
• Use a variable format — pick a fixed height of 10 cm and we set the width from your image's own ratio, so nothing is cropped at all

Yes, from essentially any camera made this century.

A 6x4 print needs 1181 x 1772 pixels (2.1 megapixels) for a full 300 DPI result. Every phone sold in the last decade shoots 12 MP or more — around six times what a 6x4 needs. Even a heavily cropped or WhatsApp-compressed image usually clears the bar.

Screenshots, images saved from social media and photos forwarded through messaging apps are the usual culprits when a print comes back soft. Our uploader flags any image too low-resolution for the size you have picked, so you can swap it before you pay rather than after it arrives.

Both use the same premium paper and the same 12-colour inks — only the surface coating differs, so print quality is identical either way. It is purely a look-and-feel choice.
