The widest formats, 2:1 and beyond, for phone panoramas and stitched views.
A horizon across the long edge is the easiest subject to place, and the matte canvas surface holds the gradient in a sky without the banding a gloss finish can show.
Layered ridges printed large keep their separation on canvas because the texture breaks up the flat tones that would otherwise merge.
Strong artificial light against a deep sky is the one landscape subject that often works better at a panoramic ratio than a standard rectangle.
Anything shot as a sweep on a phone is 2:1 or wider. Print it at that ratio rather than cropping it back to 3:2, which throws away the reason you took it.
