The most common mistake is going too small. As a rule, a single print above a sofa or a bed should span roughly two-thirds of the width of the furniture beneath it — so for a standard three-seater, that means something in the 80x60 cm to 120x80 cm range, not a 40x30 cm print floating in the middle of the wall. Above a sideboard or console table, aim for two-thirds again, and hang the centre of the print about 145–150 cm from the floor so it sits at eye level.
