Why choose a Wedding Photo Prints?

Matte or gloss is a framing decision, not a quality one

Both finishes use the same 232 g/m² photo paper and the same 12-colour printing, and both cost the same. Gloss gives more saturation and a reflective surface, which suits an album. Matte hides fingerprints and avoids glare under glass, which is why it is the right choice for anything going into a frame.

Ask your photographer for the full-resolution files

The single most common reason a wedding print disappoints is that the file came from the online gallery rather than the delivery. Gallery downloads are often around 1000 pixels wide, which is fine on a screen and not enough for 20x30cm. Ask for the full-size JPEGs.

Printing a hundred is cheaper than framing one

At £0.07 per print on volume, printing the whole set of wedding photographs costs less than a single framed print. That is the argument for printing everything and choosing what to frame afterwards, rather than the other way round.

Frequently Asked Questions about Wedding Photo Prints

What sizes can I print my wedding photos in?

11 fixed sizes from 9x12cm up to 20x30cm, including 10x15cm (6x4"), 13x18cm (7x5") and 20x30cm (8x12"), plus variable-width formats that adapt to the aspect ratio of the image. Variable width is the one to use for panoramic group shots.

Should I choose matte or gloss for wedding photos?

Both use the same paper, the same 12-colour printing and cost the same. Choose gloss for saturation and depth in an album. Choose matte for anything going behind glass, because it will not glare and does not show fingerprints.

How much do wedding photo prints cost?

From £0.07 per print for the 9x12cm size on orders of 20 or more. 10x15cm starts from £0.08, 13x18cm from £0.13 and 20x30cm from £0.44.

What resolution do I need?

Use the full-resolution JPEGs from your photographer, not the gallery downloads. For 20x30cm and above, 300 dpi is the recommendation. The design tool warns you if a file is too small for the size selected.

How long do photo prints take to arrive?

3 to 5 working days from order, including production. That is the fastest turnaround of any product in the range.

Can I print a panoramic group photo without cropping it?

Yes, using the variable-width formats, which adapt to the image's own aspect ratio rather than forcing it into a fixed rectangle.

What file types can I upload?

JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP. For the best results at larger sizes, upload high-resolution JPEGs.

Perfect for these Occasions: When to choose a Wedding Photo Prints

The set for the album

Most couples get a professional album of thirty images and nothing else. Printing the other four hundred at 10x15cm costs very little and is the version that gets looked through on a sofa rather than displayed.

Prints for both sets of parents

Two identical sets of twenty prints, sent to each set of parents, is a better thank-you than one large framed piece and costs a fraction of it.

Filling frames you already own

Standard UK frame sizes are 13x18cm and 20x30cm among others. Printing to the size of frames already in the house is cheaper than buying framed prints and gets photographs up in the same week.

Guest book and scrapbook inserts

Small prints at 9x12cm are the right size to stick into a guest book or a scrapbook, and at 7p each there is no reason to be selective about which ones.
