Most couples get a professional album of thirty images and nothing else. Printing the other four hundred at 10x15cm costs very little and is the version that gets looked through on a sofa rather than displayed.
Two identical sets of twenty prints, sent to each set of parents, is a better thank-you than one large framed piece and costs a fraction of it.
Standard UK frame sizes are 13x18cm and 20x30cm among others. Printing to the size of frames already in the house is cheaper than buying framed prints and gets photographs up in the same week.
Small prints at 9x12cm are the right size to stick into a guest book or a scrapbook, and at 7p each there is no reason to be selective about which ones.
