Upload your photos and the smart designer suggests a full layout — best when December is already short on evenings.
One book per year, made every December, becomes a shelf of them within a decade. Most people build it from the whole year rather than the day itself — holidays, birthdays, the ordinary weekends — with Christmas as the closing chapter. A4 at 14 to 248 pages carries a full year comfortably.
One spread per Christmas, going back as far as the photos do. Scanned prints from the nineties sit alongside phone photos from last December without looking out of place, and the change across the pages is the point of the book. This is the version that tends to get opened again in February.
A first Christmas produces more photos than any other day of a baby year and almost none of them get printed. A5 at £8 or 20 x 20 cm at £13 suits this well: small enough to be handled often, cheap enough to make a second copy for grandparents.
For relatives who saw the year through a phone screen, a photo book is the version they can hold. Delivery within Great Britain is free over £49, so two or three books ordered together usually clear the threshold.
